Rudolph's Tree Care Tips

Once you collect your tree take it straight home to get it into water.
If you are able, cut 10 or 20mm off the bottom of the trunk to take away the sap that has built up where it was cut to allow the flow of water into the tree, then get it straight into water.

Your tree will drink a surprisingly large amount of water while it is fresh.
Have a family member take charge of ensuring there is always water covering the cut end of the trunk.

Rudolph Reckons, it helps to put some Aspirin or Disprin into the first bowl of water. This is what your Grandmother (or Great Grandmother) would have done with freshly cut roses . It helps with keeping your tree fresh and green.
Direct sunlight is the enemy of the cut Christmas tree. This will turn the needles brown. If your beautiful tree is displayed in a window, consider pulling a curtain to shade it when the sun is beaming in.
